EXTRA STRENGTH: Avocado oil infused with Arnica (Arnica montana), Willowbark (Salix alba), St. Johns Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Comfrey(Symphytum), Tamanu oil, Magnesium sulfate Beeswax, Essential oils: rosemary, camphor, clove, geranium. Total Essential oil dilution is 4%.

Suggested Dosage

Apply as needed to area of concern. Keep away from children and pets. Avoid contact with mucus membranes. This product contains essential oils and will create irritation if used near mucus membranes.

Our extra strength pain stick does contain Tamanu Oil. If you have sensitivities to tree nuts, please do not use this product. Tamanu oil is extracted from the seeds (which are considered a nut) of the Calophyllum inophyllum tree. This tree and its seeds/nuts are commonly classified as a source of tree nut oil.

Avocado Oil.

We chose unrefined, organic, non-gmo avocado oil as our base in our salves and creams due to its endless nourishing properties.

Avocado oil has been shown to increase collagen synthesis, reduce inflammation, while penetrating the skin's barrier to help retain it's natural moisture.

Avocado oil is derived from the fruit, not from the seed, making this oil abundant in micro and macro nutrients.

Arnica.

This beautiful flower has been used medicinally since the 1500's, although Saint Hildegard of Bingen (a visionary mystic and nun born in 1098) did mention the use of arnica in her writings.

Arnica may be one of the best herbs for external ailments such as localized pain, inflammation, to even bruises and sprains. Studies show that arnica has immunostimulant properties that stimulate phagocytosis, thus,
arnica may be beneficial to regain tissue homeostasis.

Bioactive Arnica is not safe to ingest internally.

Willowbark.

Willow bark has been used for millennia in traditional medicine for pain and fever. It contains salicin, which has properties similar to aspirin.

Historically, it was used for conditions like rheumatism and fevers. Some modern studies suggest it may help with chronic lower back pain, joint pain, and osteoarthritis. It is also included in some products for fitness and weight management, with ongoing studies exploring its potential benefits.
Willow bark has bitter properties, meaning it may support the digestive system.

Think about it like his, bitter properties directly feed, or communicate with the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, asking it to produce the bile enzymes and salts we need, in order to properly digestion our food.

Comfrey.

Allantoin is an active constituent of comfrey. This constituent is highly prized and often used in skin care products to soothe irritation and protect minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.

According to this scientific study, "Allantoin has also been shown to have multiple properties/effects expected to facilitate transition of a wound from an inflammatory to a proliferative state, including antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties, direct antimicrobial effects, and keratolytic activity facilitating wound healing."

Tamanu Oil.

If you have a tree nut allergy, you need to avoid the use of tamanu oil.

Tamanu oil has been special to the Pacfic Islanders for a long time. The tamanu tree itself holds cultural significance in some regions, with the oil being used for everything from treating skin ailments to traditional tattooing practices.

Tamanu oil has been shown to support irritated nerves, inflammed tissues, and muscle pain.

Rosemary Essential Oil.

Rosemary contains compounds like rosmarinic acid, which have shown promise in soothe inflammation and combat damaging oxidative stress.

Rosemary's anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties may help manage pain associated with conditions such as, arthritis, fibromyalgia, muscle pain, and bone pain.

Camphor Essential Oil.

Camphor is one of the herbalist's favorite herbs, or essential oils to use when dealing with long term skin irritation, eczema, or any long-term skin condition.

Camphor's bioactive properties:

Analgesic Effects: Camphor possesses pain-relieving properties, making it a common ingredient in topical balms and ointments for muscle and joint pain.
Counterirritant Effect: When applied topically, camphor increases local blood flow and acts as a "counterirritant," which can reduce pain and swelling by causing irritation

With Wintergreen.

Our pain stick with wintergreen is formulated to provide a cooling sensation when applied topically. Here are some benefits of wintergreen.

Wintergreen provides this blend an extra menthol kick when combined with peppermint. Just like peppermint the bioactive properties of wintergreen have been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Without Wintergreen.

Helichrysum blends with wintergreen and peppermint to provide an extra cooling effect. Dont let the delicate flower buds fool you, helichrysum is a powerhouse. Helichrysum may have anti-inflammatory properties soothing inflamed tissues.

Beeswax Quick Benefits:

  • Emollient: It's rich in Linoleic Acid (an Omega-6 fatty acid), which helps the skin maintain its natural moisture barrier and prevents dehydration.

  • Rich in Vitamin E: As a powerful antioxidant, Vitamin E helps protect the skin from environmental stressors and supports overall skin health.

    Our salves are formulated with raw, local beeswax. Beeswax is abundant in vitamin A, making beeswax moisturizing to the skin, while it soothes red, irritated, and inflamed skin.
