Eleuthero, also known as Eleutherococcus senticosus or sometimes Siberian ginseng, is a woody shrub native to Northeastern Asia, specifically regions of Russia, China, Korea, and Japan.

A close relative (with different chemical constituents) to the highly prized Panax Ginseng. Without the price tag!

As an adaptogen, Eleuthero supports the body and allows it to adapt to stressful situations and maintain homeostasis. It does this by interacting with the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Consider this a three way intersection, where three organs respond or react to stress. When the three way intersection cannot communicate with eachother, hpa dysfunction may occur.

Think of eleuthero root as "HPA axis food". These three organs require nutrients in order to function properly, and the nutrients inside eluthero root do just that! Yes, the pituitary gland requires certain minerals for proper function, including calcium, iodine, magnesium, and potassium (which are involved in hormone regulation), and are abundant in eleuthero root.

MORE ON SIBERIAN GINSENG!

Since the 1940's there have been numerous studies on Eleuthero that prove its
adaptogenic properties. During a one month study, Russian athletes experienced a 9% improvement in stamina when taking Eleuthero. In another study, professional skiers were given 3 dropperfuls of eluethero before their race, which measurably increased their physical endurance and resistance to the cold. And in another study, done on factory workers,
who took 3 dropperfuls of eleuthero extract daily, which showed an over all 50% reduction in general sickness and 40% reduction in number of days lost due to illness.

vodka

solvent

We use six times distilled, organic, cerifited gluten free Vodka as the solvet to extract the medicinal constituents from eleuthero root.

Vodka is often used in tincture making because it is tasteless, and contains no additional ingredients.
