Red Rasperry Seed Oil
Nature's SPF
Did you know this delicate and somewhat fragrant oil offers natural UVB protection?
Raspberry seed oil has gained attention for its potential UV-protective properties, read more on that here.
Benefits of Raspberry Seed Oil
- Antioxidant-rich: Raspberry seed oil contains antioxidants like vitamin E and ellagic acid, which can help neutralize free radicals caused by UV exposure.
- Antiinflammatory: red raspberry seed oil contains phytonutrients that offer soothing properties to dry, inflammed skin.
- Natural SPF: Some studies suggest that raspberry seed oil may have a natural SPF of around 28-50, although this can vary depending on the oil's quality and processing.
- Skin nourishment: Raspberry seed oil is rich in fatty acids and nutrients that can help nourish and moisturize the skin.

carrot seed oil
Nature's SPF
Carrot seed oil does contain antioxidants, vitamins, and carotenoids, which can help protect the skin from sun damage and promote a more even skin tone. It also contains umbelliferone, a compound that absorbs UVB light.
Did you know carrot seed oil offers anywhere from 38-40 SPF? Although, this varies depending on the quality of oil, when combined with red raspberry seed oil, and broad spectrum non nano zinc oxide, our Sacred Sol Shield offers reassurance during your fun in the sun!

Coconut oil
Hydrates
The herbalist added coconut oil to our Sacred Sol Shield Mineral Sunscreen for a couple of reasons.
1. It contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which have shown to form a protective barrier on the skin, trapping moisture and may prevent water loss. This makes coconut oil an effective moisturizer for dry, flaky, and irritated skin; which is prone to burning more than healthy hydrated skin.
2. Coconut oil solidifies at room temperature. Meaning the coconut oil, and the beeswax, work synergstically to keep this easy to apply.

raw cacao butter
strengthens the skin barrier
Raw cacao butter is a rich source of fatty acids, making it highly effective at moisturizing and hydrating the skin. This emollient action by cacao butter combats the drying effects of the sunburn and prevents further moisture loss.

uncoated non-nano zinc oxide
mineral protection
Unlike chemical sunscreens that absorb UV rays, zinc oxide sits on top of the skin, forming a physical barrier that reflects and scatters the rays.

beeswax
just like honeybaby from the bee.
Our whipped body butter is formulated with raw, local beeswax. Beeswax is abundant in vitamin A, making beeswax mositurizing to the skin, while it soothes red, irritated, and inflammed skin.
Did you know that honey bees have a very sophisticated memory for being so tiny? Not only that but, their dedication to their craft, and loyalty to their queen is unmatched.
It takes twelve worker bees to make one teaspoon of honey. With bees having a life expectancy of six to eight weeks, thats basically their entire lifetime.
So, the next time you use honey to sweeten your tea, be sure to give extra thanks to those bees.
