ASTRAGALUS ROOT (ASTRAGALUS MEMBRANACEUS)

mood support

Astragaus is called an adaptogen, meaning it helps protect the body against various stresses, including physical, mental, or emotional stress.

Research indicates that the active compound in astragalus root known as polysaccharides may be responsible for a wide range of health benefits such as: stimulating corticol activity, and restoring red blood cell-formation in bone marrow.

Research suggests astragalus root may be a "potent" immune booster. As it increases T cell and NK cell activity, and promotes interferon production. Thus, enhancing the immune system function.

Interferon is a natural substance (that our body produces) that helps the body's immune system fight infection. Some physicans use natural interferon to fight viral infections. Interferon's are made in the body by white blood cells and other cells, but they can also be made in a laboratory.

vodka

the solvent

We use six times distilled, organic, cerifited gluten free Vodka as the solvet to extract the medicinal constituents from astragalus root.

Vodka is often used in tincture making because it is tasteless, and contains no additional ingredients.

Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal

hpa axis

The organs that make up the HPA-axis are: the adrenal glands, the pituitary gland, and the hypothalamus.

These organs work together to produce a synergstic feedback loop of hormones, that trigger specific systems of the body to respond to stressful events.

Chronic stress can lead to HPA axis dysfunction and cause consistently increased cortisol levels in the body. This may increase the risk for a variety of health conditions, such as:

Digestive issues, intestinal permeability, reoccuring illness, immune-dysfunction, autoimmune conditions, mental health conditions, metabolic dysfunction, and cardiovascular disease.
