Green oat tops have been consumed since 7,000 years BCE, making this one of the most ancient foods still available.
Abundant in micro and macro nutrients that provide cellular nourshment.
Green oats contain beta glucans which are soluble fibers that come from the cell walls of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, and some plants.
Beta glucan has shown significant antimicrobial (stops the growth of microorganisms), anticancer, anti-diabetic, and anti-hypercholesterolemic (controls cholesterol levels) properties in countless clinical trials.
stinging nettle
Nettle is thought of as a tonic for its high vitamin and mineral content. Nettle's actions are also, antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic. Nettle also supports the cardiovascular system.
Nettle has been shown to inactivate and inhibit the H1 receptors (H1 blocking medications are used to treat allergies) and stabalise mast cells which prevents extra histamine being released in your body. The downstream effect is a reduction in the messenger molecules that contribute to inflammation and allergy symptoms.
Nettle increases urine output while decreasing the uric acid plasma levels. The diuretic action of Nettle makes it useful in those dealing with; fluid retention, arthritis with swollen joints, gout, and congestive heart disease.
The compounds in nettle play an important role in chronic and degenerative conditions of the musculoskeletal system such as RA, OA, gout, joint pain and fibromyalgia.
Nettle is a powerhouse herb packed with vitamins and minerals such as A, B, C, K, calcium, magnesium, and iron.
liver support
Schisandra berry is considered an adaptogen. Adapotgens positively modulate the body's resistance to physical, environmental, and emotional stressors.
Schisandra berry has been shown to boost circulation by improving blood and oxygen flow; thus improving physical resistance, and increasing energy levels.
This tiny berry is abundant in micro and macro nutrients that are considered a "liver super food". Liver health is essenital to homeostasis of the body. When our liver is stagnant, it cannot digest our food, or biotransform our foods into nurtients to feed us at a cellular level.
biophotons
Orange contains micro and macro nutrients such as vitamins A, E, B1, B2, B3, B5, and B9, along with, magnesium, copper, calcium, potassium, and zinc. All which have shown to benefit the human immune system. Research shows when we are deficient in basic nutrients, we begin to not feel well.
pungent
Often used for its volatile oils in aromatherapy, or to flavor beverages, and preserve foods; yet ginger is often overlooked for its medicinal properties.
Ginger is a great source of vital vitamins and minerals, including iron, magnesium, vitamins B6 and C, and zinc. These vitamins and minerals along with ginger's antioxidant properties can help strengthen your immune system. Gingerol helps ease common cold symptoms, like muscle fatigue and sore throat.
warming
A popular remedy 200 BCE. Clove contains the active ingredient eugenol, which is a natural anesthetic. It helps numb and reduce pain. Eugenol also has natural anti-inflammatory properties. Eugenol is also a potent antioxidant, which fights free radicals that damage DNA.
Research on cloves its constituents and the mechanism of action, is still in its early stages, and more studies are needed to see how findings apply to people.
However, one study on mice found that clove essential oil can increase the white blood cell count, thus suggesting that clove intake may boost your immune system
the protection star
Star anise has been used in cooking and in medicine for roughly 3,000 years.
Ancient cultures used the points of the star to ward off evil spirits, and bad omens. Today, modern herbalists use star anise to flavor tea or tincture formulas, and for its vast array of medicinal properties.
Star anise contains shikimic acid, several in vitro and in vivo studies indicate that shikimic acid and its derivatives exhibit diverse bioactivities, such as antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, hypolipidemic, bone protective, skin protective, neuroprotective, and antidiabetic activities.
