    Nettle (Urtica dioica), Dried Cranberries, Star anise (Illicium verum), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale), Astragalus root (Astragalus membranaceus)

  • Suggested Use

    Steep 1 tbsp in 8oz of water for 11 minutes. When cooled add honey to taste (this preserves the benefical compounds in honey.)

Nettle (Urtica dioica)

Nettle is thought of as a tonic for its high vitamin and mineral content. Nettle's actions are also, antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic. Nettle also supports the cardiovascular system.

Nettle increases urine output while decreasing the uric acid plasma levels. The diuretic action of Nettle makes it useful in those dealing with; fluid retention, arthritis with swollen joints, gout, and congestive heart disease.

The compounds in nettle play an important role in chronic and degenerative conditions of the musculoskeletal system such as RA, OA, gout, joint pain and fibromyalgia.

Nettle is a powerhouse herb packed with vitamins and minerals such as A, B, C, K, calcium, magnesium, and iron-- all which are crucial to maintaining a resilant immune system all year long.

Ancient cultures used the points of the star to ward off evil spirits, and bad omens. Today, modern herbalists use star anise to flavor tea or tincture formulas, and for its vast array of medicinal properties.

Star anise contains shikimic acid, several in vitro and in vivo studies indicate that shikimic acid and its derivatives exhibit diverse bioactivities, such as antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, hypolipidemic, bone protective, skin protective, neuroprotective, and antidiabetic activities.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
