Saffron
saffron crocus
Considered the sunshine spice. Saffron-based pigments have indeed been found in 50,000-year-old depictions of prehistoric places in northwest Iran.
Today saffron is used for a wide variety of purposes such as, dye for textiles, in culinary dishes, for mood support, immune nourishment, muscle aches, women's menstural cycle discomfort.
May nourish and support a healthy nervous system: a 2018 study shows saffron may be benefical for mood support. Saffron extract might inhibit serotonin reuptake in synapses. Inhibiting synaptic serotonin reuptake keeps serotonin in the brain longer, thereby enhancing its positive effects on our mood and CNS.
Saffron is a natural source of the antioxidant glutathione, which plays a role in helping your body to detox through supporting your liver – our main detox organ.

vodka
the solvent
We use six times distilled, organic, certified gluten free potato Vodka as the solvent to extract the medicinal constituents from saffron.
Vodka is often used in tincture making because it is tasteless, and contains no additional ingredients.
