stinging nettle
Nettle is thought of as a tonic for its high vitamin and mineral content. Nettle's actions are also, antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic. Nettle also supports the cardiovascular system.
While more research is needed, nettle has been shown to inactivate and inhibit the H1 receptors (H1 blocking medications are used to treat allergies,) while stabalizing mast cells. This may prevent extra histamine being released in your body.
Nettle increases urine output while decreasing the uric acid plasma levels. The diuretic action of Nettle makes it useful in those dealing with; fluid retention, arthritis with swollen joints, gout, and congestive heart disease.
The compounds in nettle play an important role in chronic and degenerative conditions of the musculoskeletal system such as RA, OA, gout, joint pain and fibromyalgia.
Nettle is a powerhouse herb packed with vitamins and minerals such as A, B, C, K, calcium, magnesium, and iron.
