While healing from a back injury the Valerian tincture helped manage pain, especially before sleep.
It also facilitated a deeper, longer rest, as well as a calm, vivid dream state💜🪬☯️
After PT, dry needling, and small doses of Advil for my TMD issues, I wanted to try something new. Valerian helped tackle the tension and pain in my jaw, even in small doses. Each time I take some of this tincture, the extreme pain in my jaw/gums/teeth/nerves feels relieved. Ever since I started taking it, I’ve felt 10x better overall! Great product & great company!
I am having emotional issues because its coming up on one year of my moms passing. I got some valerian tincture, put a dropper full on my tongue and it helped so much!!!

The therapuetic effects of valerian have been documented since antiquity, by Hippocrates. It was later prescribed by Galen for insomnia. By the 16th century it was being used to treat nervousness, headaches, and muscle cramps. Valerian was also used in both WWI & WWII, to treat shellshocked soliders.
Valerian has shown its ability to bind to GABA-a receptors, and enhances the uptake of GABA to its receptors. This may be due to valerian containing constituents such as valporites.
Although valerian does produce similar like effects, we must not mistake Valerian with Valium. Valerian is often confused with valium which is a powerful, and sometimes (harmful) pharmaceutical product. Valium is not derivied from valerian. Their mechanisms of action may be similar in ways of the receptors it binds too, but valerian and valium are not similar in nature.
Valerian binds to GABA-a receptors which enhances the uptake of GABA in the brain.
Valerian has a mechanism of action similar to benzodiazepines; however, instead of binding to the gamma subunit like a benzodiazepine (valium),it appears to bind to the beta subunit on the GABA-A receptor instead.

vodka
the solvent
We use six times distilled, organic, cerifited gluten free Vodka as the solvet to extract the medicinal constituents from valerian root.
Vodka is often used in tincture making because it is tasteless, and contains no additional ingredients.
