the heart healthy plant
Hawthorn has been used for centuries. Its use began in the 1st century, but by the 1800's early American Eclectic doctors were prescribing hawthorn to treat circulatory disorders, cardiovascular disorders, and respiratory illnesses.
The Celtics believed that the hawtorn was a symbol of love and protection. Which is precious and a head of their time, considering its modern day benefits for the cardiovascular system.
Hawthorn contains many substances that may benefit the heart. These antioxidant flavonoids, including OPCs, may help dilate blood vessels, improve blood flow, and protect blood vessels from damage.
Hypertension; new science shows that hawthorn may provide relief from the symptoms of hypertension. The study showed it may reduce plaque formation in the blood vessels and relax the constriction of blood vessels; thus regulating blood pressure.
Cholesterol; hawthorns flavonoid content may be responsbile for reducing LDL levels (bad cholesterol) in the blood.
Optimal liver health (Hepatoprotection); new research is showing that hawthorn leaf and berry may protect the liver from various liver diseases including non alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Anti-aging benefits; hawthorn berries may help prevent premature skin aging caused by collagen degradation due to excessive sun or ultraviolet light exposure.
the solvent
We use six times distilled, organic, cerifited gluten free Vodka as the solvet to extract the medicinal constituents from dandelion root.
Vodka is often used in tincture making because it is tasteless, and contains no additional ingredients.
