Why do you need Moon Time Herbal Tea?
Red raspberry leaf- contains fragarine, a plant compound that helps tone and tighten muscles in the pelvic area. Which has been shown to reduce the menstrual cramping caused by spasms of these muscles.
Nettle- Anti-inflammatory. This herb is a powerhouse and should be consumed regularly. Nettle is abundant in a wide variety of nutrients including but not limited to, vitamins such as a,b,c, and k. Nettle also contains minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. Also abundant in fiber and protein. Consuming more vitamins and minerals a week before moon time has been shown to drastically reduce moon time symptoms.
Lady’s Mantle- Has been a prized herb for women’s health. This plant is abundant in compounds that have been proven to regulate the cycle, reduce heavy menstrual bleeding, and relieves menstrual cramps.
Lemon Balm- eases nervous tension and promotes relaxation. Two compounds citral and citronellal, calm the central nervous system. Lemon Balm is also highly anti-spasmodic, which makes it a friend during moon time.
Peppermint- Digestive aid, relieves bloating, nausea and headaches that are common during this time. It’s anti-spasmodic properties help to relieve cramps and spasms.
Valerian- one of my personal favorite anti-spasmodics. Important to always have in your medicine cabinet. Valerian has been credited with many virtues. Known as “all heal” in the middle ages. Valerian reduces nervous activity by prolonging the action of an inhibitory neurotransmitter.
